announced Iraqi Ministry of Transport, on Monday, signed an agreement with Tunisia to operate 12 flights per month between the two countries, noting that the opening of the air route with Tunisia will contribute to enhancing trade and tourism with them.
Ministry said in a statement received “Alsumaria News”, a copy of the “head of the civil aviation authority Nasser Bandar Al-Shibli has signed an agreement with the Tunisian side to operate flights between the two countries.” the ministry added that “the flights would be an average of 12 flights per month will start from the month of May,” he said, adding that “the opening of the airlines with Tunisia will contribute to enhancing trade and tourism with it.
Iraq seeks to develop its fleet of civil aircraft through a contract with a number of foreign companies competent in the field of aircraft industry after its adoption previously on charter planes, where he signed in May 2008 in Baghdad two decades, first with The Boeing Company of America for the purchase of 45 aircraft, and the second with Bompardo Canadian company, for the purchase of ten aircraft, while the Ministry of Finance showed that the total value of the two contracts amounted to five billion dollars.
